The five Human Design types
Your type is not a personality label. It is a description of how your energy is wired — which centres are defined, whether a motor reaches your Throat, and whether your Sacral provides sustained work energy. That wiring determines the strategy that makes your decisions reliable.
Generator
roughly 37% of people
Generators have a defined Sacral centre, the body's engine for life force and available work energy. The Sacral responds — it does not initiate — so a Generator's correct life is built from what shows up in front of them and lights them up.
Strategy: Wait to respond
Manifesting Generator
roughly 33% of people
Manifesting Generators have a defined Sacral plus a motor connected to the Throat. They respond like a Generator and then act like a Manifestor, which makes them fast, non-linear and prone to skipping steps.
Strategy: Wait to respond, then inform
Projector
roughly 20% of people
Projectors have no defined Sacral, so they are not designed for sustained work energy. Their design is guidance: seeing the system, the person and the efficiency others cannot see from inside it.
Strategy: Wait for the invitation
Manifestor
roughly 9% of people
Manifestors are the only type designed to initiate. A motor connects to the Throat with no defined Sacral, giving impact rather than sustained work capacity.
Strategy: Initiate, and inform
Reflector
roughly 1% of people
Reflectors have no defined centres at all. They sample and mirror the environment, which makes place and people the single largest factor in their experience of themselves.
Strategy: Wait a lunar cycle
