What a Human Design chart actually tells you
A Human Design chart, or bodygraph, is built from the planetary positions at your birth and at a second point 88 degrees of solar arc earlier — roughly three months before you were born. Those positions land in 64 gates, which activate channels between nine energy centres.
Which centres end up defined determines four things you will see above: your energy type, your strategy for making decisions that hold up, your inner authority, and your profile, the pair of lines describing how you learn and how you meet the world.

Why birth time changes the chart
The Moon moves about half a degree per hour and the Ascendant moves roughly a degree every four minutes. Both feed into the bodygraph, so a chart calculated from a guessed time can return different profile lines, a different authority and occasionally a different type altogether.
This is also why time zones matter more than people expect. Historical daylight saving, wartime offsets and border changes mean the offset in use at your birth is often not the offset in use at that location today. This calculator resolves the historical IANA time zone from your exact coordinates and birth date rather than assuming today's rules.
